View MoreThis wonderful lodge, accommodates up to 10 people in comfortable double rooms, is serviced by two bathrooms , has two generous sized lounge areas with wood heaters and a fully equipped and spacious kitchen/dining area. It is nestled in natural bushland overlooking the Great Lake and well removed from the main road so as to ensure peace and privacy.
A group boo king makes it s uper affordable and would suit any event, from small school camp s to family gatherings, retreats or educational experiences like a fly fishing school.
The tiger lodge is purpose built accommodation catering for groups of 10 plus people. T he kitchen area is a place to gather in the mornings for breakfast and to plan the adventures of the day ahead, then regroup in the evenings to recount your feats and discoveries.. When it ’ s finally time to wind up for the evening, retire to the comfortabl e private bedroom . Three rooms feature queen sized beds and one room has king sized single beds.
Settled in the remote wilderness of the Central conservation area of the Highlands of Tamania, the Central Highlands Base Camp offe rs a perfect hub for gro ups wanting to enjoy the serene surrounds or experience the world - class fly fishing or bushwalking that the area is famous for.

Set overlooking the picturesque Great Lake and surrounded by The Central Plateau Conservation Area, the Lodge is one of only a few buildings at South Brandum.
Enjoying views up and down the Great Lake, an area world famous for its trout fishing, a truly off-the-grid building has been developed into the landscape.
The lodge is autonomous in providing and managing its existence. Here you will experience true communion with nature in an accommodation that combines simplicity of design with comfort and warmth. In the magnificent living and dining area with its large timber deck and open fire, you'll enjoy delicious meals prepared with the freshest local produce, accompanied by fine Tasmanian wines. Solar power provides the lighting, while hot showers and comfortable hotel beds add a touch of luxury at the end of each day's activities.
All accommodation at the Lodge is a twin or double share, with four individual bedrooms.
There is a small cosy library looking out over the Lake. This is a great place to sit back and relax or look through our selection of books and magazines.
The hero is the wood-fired hot tub. A perfect place to unwind after a big day in the outdoors.
